First Run Checklist

Follow these steps in order the first time you log in. Each step takes 2–5 minutes.

:::note Don't have an account yet? Sign up at signup.r4ptor.app. Choose a subdomain (e.g. tigers.r4ptor.app), enter your details, and your school is live in about 30 seconds — no card required, 14-day free trial included. :::

1. Check your student types

Student types define the groups in your club — e.g. Snakes & Cranes, Juniors, Teens, Adults. These are pre-configured for your instance. If anything is missing, contact support.

2. Add your classes

Go to Admin → Manage Classes → Add Class. For each class you need:

  • Class name — e.g. Tuesday Adults 7pm
  • Student type — which group attends
  • Day and time
  • Duration in minutes
  • Location — e.g. Main Hall
tip

If you have 10+ classes, use the CSV import instead — it creates classes and enrols students in one go.

3. Add your students

Either:

  • CSV import (recommended for 5+ students) — see Import Students
  • Manual — go to People → + button → Add Student

4. Enrol students in classes

If you added students manually, open each student's profile and add their class enrolments. Imported students are enrolled automatically.

5. Add your staff

Go to People → Staff tab → + button. For each staff member you need their name, role (Coach or Leader), and hourly rate.

6. Assign staff to classes

Open each staff member's profile and add the classes they teach.

7. Set up communications

See Comms Setup to configure email and SMS.

8. Take your first register

Tap a class card on the home screen. The register shows all enrolled students — tap a name to mark them present.


You're ready. The platform will start building attendance history from your first register.
